Hope for an End

Around a year ago at this time, we were told to stay home and not see the ones to closest to us to keep each other safe. It was a time so confusing and so many of us felt alone. During this time FaceTiming my family and friends kept me grounded, especially at the beginning with the fear of what would this pandemic turn into and will I go back to work?

Now a year later still living through this pandemic, I wanted to help others the way my family and friends helped me. With the help of my friends and support of my family we started Hope for an End. The premise behind it is

"It's been a year since COVID-19 changed our world forever. Hope for an End is a campaign I started to spread hope and a sense of community throughout our city. The task is simple, tie a light blue ribbon outside your home/business and show your support and hope that this pandemic will come to an end."

We started by declaring light blue as the color behind it, like the color of the mask so many of us have become accustomed to wearing. We then set out to pass out light blue ribbon. We made awareness bows and were fortunate enough to have more than 30 businesses display them in their business in one way or another. Now this weekend (March 27-28) we are setting out to get it in the hands of the public. The goal whenever someone sees this light blue ribbon it will bring them hope this pandemic will soon be behind us and they have someone standing behind them.
