South Barrington roof fire safely extinguished

The Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District continues to investigate the cause of a fire late Monday afternoon on the roof of a South Barrington home.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which was reported at 5:40 p.m. at a home on Lakeside Drive.

After the roof fire was safely extinguished and no further hazards were found, firefighters returned access to the home to its owner.

District, Fox River Grove Fire Protection District, East Dundee Fire Protection District, Long Grove Fire

Protection District, Carpentersville Fire Department and Hoffman Estates Fire Department.
