Bolingbrook Mayor Mary Basta named one of 20 Global Women of the Year 2021
Mary Basta, the mayor of Bolingbrook, has been named by the multi-ethinc advisory board headed by Congressman Danny Davis ( D-IL) as one of the 20 Global Woman of Excellence for 2021.
The coalition recognized her "inspiring leadership and pioneering intiatives clebrating the phenomemal woman today."
United States Vice President Kamala Harris was among the other 19 awardees selected from nominations all over the world.
The residents of Bolingbrook should be proud to have a leader of her caliber serving our community.
