Fox Lake man arrested on drug charges

A Fox Lake man was arrested Thursday on narcotics charges.

James A. Mobley, 49, was charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of illegal paraphernalia, police said in a news release.

The Fox Lake Police Department and the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group started the investigation after receiving tips. Police obtained a search warrant for Mobley's residence at the Fox Lake Motel, 25 S. Route 12, and said they seized approximately 16.5 grams of crack cocaine, a stun gun and $4,326 in cash.

Mobley is being held at the Lake County jail on $150,000 bail.
