Sentencing Friday for Lombard man charged with reckless homicide

A Lombard man will be sentenced Friday on a charge of reckless homicide stemming from a crash that killed a Westmont woman in November 2019.

Testimony was presented at a hearing Wednesday about the November 2019 crash, in which Todd Heidenthal was accused of passing in a no-passing zone in Oak Brook, hitting a car head-on. Florence Hsiao, 68, was killed.

DuPage County Assistant State's Attorney Lee Roupas is asking for a five-year prison sentence. Heidenthal's attorney, Rick Kayne, has requested probation.
