Jeep falls from I-355 onto Lake Street in Addison

One person was injured after a vehicle fell from Interstate 355 in Addison on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened about 10:55 a.m. near Route 20, according to Illinois State Police.

A silver-colored Jeep was northbound on I-355 when the driver lost control of the car and traveled over the right concrete median. The Jeep then struck a bridge sign before landing on Lake Street below.

The crash victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, state police said.
