First Bank of Highland Park Becomes a Highland Park Community Foundation Corporate Champion

The Highland Park Community Foundation (HPCF) welcomes First Bank of Highland Park to its Corporate Champion Program. Launched in 2020, the HPCF's Corporate Champion Program provides the opportunity for all businesses to become philanthropic partners in helping to address the needs of the Highland Park/Highwood community and expand opportunities for all residents.

First Bank of Highland Park became a Corporate Champion by pledging a 5-year financial commitment to support the Foundation's work and joins the Foundation in its efforts to enhance the quality of life for all Highland Park and Highwood residents.

"We are thrilled that First Bank of Highland Park has partnered with us in such a meaningful way," said David Reich, Chairman, Highland Park Community Foundation. "Their commitment will help us address urgent and on-going needs and further our overall mission."

"First Bank of Highland Park is backed by 65 years of building relationships in our community while meeting the financial needs of all. As a Corporate Champion, we directly align our philanthropic mission with the Highland Park Community Foundation" said Eric Ephraim, President of First Bank of Highland Park and board member of Highland Park Community Foundation. "This partnership will allow us to continue to support the goals of the foundation while making a greater impact on those in need throughout Highland Park and Highwood."

The Foundation's Corporate Champion Program provides businesses with a wonderful opportunity to give back and champion programs and services that help the most vulnerable members of the Highland Park/Highwood community and benefit the community as a whole.

Since its founding in 1992, the HPCF has distributed nearly $3,000,000 in annual grants to address needs that fall into 5 main funding categories: education, human services, senior services, services for individuals with disabilities, and the creative and cultural arts. Since March of 2020, the HPCF has also distributed $170,000 in emergency grants to address urgent needs stemming from COVID-19: food, baby supplies, and household essentials; rent and utility assistance; PPE; mental health teletherapy for children and adults; counseling services for victims of sexual abuse; technology to support remote learning for students; programming for individuals with disabilities; supports for isolated seniors; housing for victims of domestic violence and their minor children; affordable legal services in the areas of housing, domestic violence, and immigration; and more.

"Corporate Champion partner donations provide resources we need to support the work of over 50 nonprofits that provide educational, human service, and cultural programs for the citizens of Highland Park and Highwood," said Mr. Reich.
