Berkshire Hathaway Glenview office donates to Northfield Twp. food pantry
The Glenview office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and the firm's philanthropic arm, the Kindness Foundation, announced that they donated to the Northfield Township Food Pantry in December. The money is part of a $40,000 donation pool to be distributed to local food pantries this year. Started close to 50 years ago, the pantry helps township residents in need.
"We are really pleased to be able to give the Northfield Township Food Pantry a little extra support this holiday season," said Michael Mazzei, senior vice president and regional managing broker of the Glenview office. "We have a long history of working with the pantry and are happy to help them whenever we can."
The Glenview office is one of the company's 19 participating offices throughout Chicagoland, as well as in Indiana and Michigan. Each office chose a 501(c) (3) organization from their local community to support and embody the mission of the Kindness Foundation which is to support meaningful local initiatives that improve the communities the company serves and enhances the quality of life for fellow citizens.
