Bears' cornerback Johnson still sidelined by shoulder injury

Bears rookie cornerback Jaylon Johnson missed practice Wednesday at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. Johnson hasn't played or practiced since injuring his shoulder Dec. 13 against the Houston Texans at Soldier Field.

Johnson missed each of the past two games and didn't practice either of the previous two weeks. Wednesday's practice was a light walk-through.

According to the Bears, defensive backs Buster Skrine (concussion) and Deon Bush (foot) both missed practice Wednesday due to injuries. Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks also missed practice Wednesday with an illness.

Without Johnson, Skrine and Bush, Bears defensive backs Kindle Vildor and Duke Shelley each saw a significant rise in playing time the past two games. The two young defensive backs have impressed their coaches, but returning Johnson to the starting lineup would be a significant boost for the Bears Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
