Blackhawks forward Kirby Dach has surgery, out 4-5 months

Blackhawks forward Kirby Dach is likely to miss the upcoming season after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a right wrist fracture he suffered at the World Junior Championships in Edmonton last week.

"We expect Kirby to return to hockey-related activities in approximately four to five months," said Hawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry.

Dach, whom the Hawks drafted third overall in 2019, scored 8 goals and had 15 assists while averaging more than 14 minutes of ice time in 64 games last season.
