Kerr thinks non-bubble teams are at disadvantage

Two of the Bulls' first three opponents were also not invited to the Orlando bubble this summer. Before the game, Golden State coach Steve Kerr talked about the disadvantages of having the nine-month break, like the Bulls.

"For sure, 100 percent, because of the lack of continuity for the teams that weren't there," Kerr said. "We basically had 10 days of practice after a nine-month absence with a lot of new players. So it's really difficult to build any continuity on such short notice with so much time off.

"It's a disadvantage, but it's part of the deal. That's the way it goes. We also got a nice break. While everybody else had to spend two months in Orlando, we all got to be at home, so there were advantages too."

The Warriors lost a player on Saturday. During a practice at the Advocate Center, forward Marquese Chriss suffered a right fibula fracture and syndesmosis ankle injury. The team expects him to miss the rest of the season.

Kerr said Golden State is hoping to get veteran Draymond Green back soon from a foot injury, but decided to give him two more games off.
