Bears' Mack sits out Thursday practice
Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack sat out practice Thursday with a shoulder injury. Mack missed much of the previous week of practice due to his ailing shoulder as well, but he still played Sunday against the Houston Texans.
The veteran linebacker has been listed on the team's injury report nearly every week this season, but he has not missed a game.
Rookie cornerback Jaylon Johnson also missed practice Thursday with a shoulder injury, suffered in the second half against the Texans. Defensive backs Deon Bush (foot) and Buster Skrine (concussion) both missed practice Thursday.
Tight end Jimmy Graham (hip), tight end J.P. Holtz (shoulder/knee), left tackle Charles Leno (toe) and outside linebacker James Vaughters (knee) all were limited in practice. Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks also was limited in practice in order to get some extra rest. Hicks does not have an injury designation.
The Bears returned to regular practice after they shortened Wednesday's practice to a walk-through. The team delayed practice Wednesday after its most recent round of COVID-19 tests apparently was lost in transit to the lab.
