Schaumburg requiring temperature checks to enter village facilities

In an effort to protect employees and patrons, Schaumburg is requiring temperature checks for anyone entering village facilities as of Monday.

Wall-mounted, no-contact temperature stations have been installed near main entrances at village facilities. The units will display an individual's temperature on the display screen, and an alert will sound if the temperature is above 100.4 degrees. If the alarm sounds, individuals are to exit the building immediately and can contact the village via phone, email or the village website to conduct their business.

The public also is required to wear masks or face coverings in all village facilities, and individuals should remain home if they are feeling ill.
