Neighbors assisting neighbors through 'Prospect Provides' food and clothing drive

Community members have another opportunity to assist neighbors in need through the "Prospect Provides" community drive, which is under way and will run through Dec. 9. The "Prospect Provides" effort results from Prospect High School this year combining all of its annual drives into one large endeavor.

Students and staff are accepting non-perishable food items such as pasta and sauce, cereal, cake mix and frosting, canned meat and fish and peanut butter. Donors may also give toiletries and clothing, including winter coats, hats and gloves, new socks and underwear, women's and men's clothing.

Contact-free drop off of items may be made Saturday, Nov. 21, at Door 6 of Prospect High School. Residents may simply open their vehicle trunk or hatch to give student volunteers access to donated items.

In addition, items may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Door 6 of the high school. All contributions directly support Arlington Heights and Mount Prospect communities. Prospect High School is located at 801 West Kensington Road in Mount Prospect.
