COVID-19 testing in Lake, McHenry counties this weekend

The Illinois Department of Public Health this weekend will have mobile teams providing free COVID-19 testing at locations in Lake and McHenry counties.

Times and locations include:

• 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at Round Lake High School, 800 High School Drive, in Round Lake.

• 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7-8, at Lippold Park, 125 Route 176, in Crystal Lake.

• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at Mundelein High School, 1350 W. Hawley St., in Mundelein.

Anyone can be tested, regardless of symptoms or immigration status. You should bring your insurance card if you have one, but insurance is not required.

Specimens will be collected using a simple nasal swab. Drive-through and walk-up testing are both available at most locations.
