Great Lakes Dredge to move headquarters

OAKBROOK TERRACE - Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corp., the largest provider of dredging services in the U.S., said it will move its corporate offices to Houston from Oakbrook Terrace. This move will put it closer to key regional customers and new markets, the company said.

The company also Wednesday released third quarter fiscal year results. At the end of the quarter, the domestic bid market for 2020 reached $1.6 billion. Of projects bid, Great Lakes has been awarded $630.6 million in work year to date, comprised of capital, maintenance and coastal protection projects, the company said. Projects coming into the market pipeline in the fourth quarter include two marsh creation projects in Louisiana, as well as the Boston Harbor Improvement Project.

Great Lakes also opened regional offices in Jacksonville, Florida, and Staten Island, New York, to further support its strategic vision and allow it to engage more effectively with customers such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, private energy clients, and local governments and communities, it said.
