Barrington Road resurfacing to start Wednesday

The resurfacing of Barrington Road from Rand Road to Liberty Street in Wauconda is set to begin, weather permitting, on Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Transportation said in a news release Monday.

The project, which also includes constructing new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps and replacing deteriorated curbs, is expected to be completed in spring 2021.

Access to residences and businesses within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area, according to IDOT.
