Barrington Road closed by Walmart in Streamwood for spill cleanup

Barrington Road was closed between Tower Drive and Buttitta Drive by the Walmart Supercenter about noon Friday for a cleanup of material that was spilled on the road, Streamwood police said.

The road was expected to reopen by midafternoon. The material, believed to be hydraulic fluid, is not believed to be hazardous and there were no injuries, police said. The vehicle involved in the spill had left the scene, police said.
