Report: Bears' Daniels is out for the season
Bears left guard James Daniels is reportedly out for the season with a torn pectoral muscle, according to a report from the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero on Friday.
That was reportedly what the Bears feared after the injury happened in Thursday night's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In his day-after media session, Bears coach Matt Nagy said Daniels was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Friday. Nagy did not provide any further updates except to say that the injury did indeed involve Daniels' pec.
Daniels, a third-year pro out of Iowa, has never missed a game and rarely ever missed a snap on offense. Alex Bars filled in for Daniels on Thursday. Bars got beat once, but otherwise did a decent job in relief of Daniels.
