Vernon Hills Fall Fest canceled

What would have been the 15th annual Fall Fest scheduled for the end of the month at the Metra station on Route 45 in Vernon Hills has been canceled due to concerns with the coronavirus. The event featured two days of kids activities and attractions, a craft show, live music, food and more. After last year's event, village officials decided to trim it to one day this year. The village had been playing it by ear but trustees were told this past week the event wasn't going to happen.
