COVID-19 case reported at St. Charles school
An individual at Davis Primary School in St. Charles has tested positive for COVID-19, according to District 303 spokeswoman Carol Smith.
The school, which notified parents Monday, underwent a deep cleaning in affected areas in accordance with Kane County Health Department guidelines. Staff members identified as having prolonged close contact with the individual will quarantine and receive a separate notification from the health department.
According to Smith, this is the third individual from Davis Primary School to test positive since school started on Aug. 19. A notification was sent out Aug. 26 about two positive tests, including a staff member who was working after hours.
