Car crashes into Mundelein home

A driver suffered minor injuries and a house was deemed uninhabitable after a car crashed into a Mundelein home early Tuesday morning, according to the Mundelein Fire Department.
Mundelein firefighters responded to the crash in the 500 block of West Maple Avenue at 2:25 a.m. on Tuesday. The firefighters reported that the car left the roadway and struck a utility pole before crashing into the single-family home.
The driver was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. The homeowners, who were upstairs at the time of the crash, were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Mundelein Police Department.
