Lavelle Law to Produce Podcast Series on Bankruptcy

Lavelle Law, a thirty-plus attorney law firm in Schaumburg, will debut a new podcast series, Bankruptcy Solutions. The seven-episode series will be a part of the firm's long-running Chicago's Legal Latte podcast.

“We have been producing our traditional series for more than seven years,” said Managing Partner Ted McGinn. “We have had several hundred-thousand collective downloads of those weekly episodes, but we feel the time is right to provide a specific focus on issues related to bankruptcy.”

McGinn noted that the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on both businesses and individuals has caused a rise in bankruptcy filings. Bankruptcy Solutions will provide guidance regarding all types of filings, the considerations that should be taken and the ramifications of filing for bankruptcy protection.

“In many cases bankruptcy is the right solution and can provide significant financial relief,” McGinn said. “But there are a number of considerations and outcomes that should be discussed before any action is taken. We hope to share some of our three decades of experience with listeners in the series.”

McGinn will be a featured contributor to the series along with Timothy Hughes, a Shareholder at Lavelle Law who leads the Bankruptcy practice group at the firm.

The first episode will be available on Aug. 11, with subsequent episodes being produced through Sept.15. Topics include bankruptcy options for individuals, protecting assets in a bankruptcy, understanding Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 filings, discharging debts, business reorganization and corporate dissolution.
