Get a Golf for a Child Invitational raffle ticket to benefit kids in need

CASA Kane County's 17th annual Golf for a Child Invitational will be held on Monday, Aug. 17, at St. Charles Country Club.

Due to the increase in the number of abuse/neglect and private guardianship cases, this annual event is needed now more than ever to help raise funds for the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) organization.

CASA Kane County is proud to honor Lou Gallucci, executive vice president of V3 Companies Ltd. as the honorary chair of this year's Golf for a Child Invitational. His ongoing support over the years has been instrumental in helping youth in care during a tumultuous time in their lives.

The event sponsors include: The Hershey Company and the Hansberger Foundation for leading the way as Gold Sponsors.

In addition, CASA Kane County thank the Bronze Sponsors: BMO Harris Bank; Eby Brown, Tran Systems Corporation; Fox Valley Auto Group; BLA; Robert & Kathy Schrieber; Anchor Spa and Pool Inc.; Baxter and Woodman; Burn's & McDonnell; St. Charles Bank and Trust, Dolan Murphy Real Estate; KSA Lighting + Controls; V3 Companies, Ltd.; Collins Engineers, Inc.; Cordogan Clark & Associates; Meyers & Flowers LLC; and AC's Pub.

Tickets to play in the golf outing are sold out, but you can still support CASA by purchasing a Grand Raffle ticket for a chance to win these prizes: golf car (value $8,000); PING Golf Bag with clubs (value $2,500); Concierge Med Spa (value $1,500); St. Charles County Club golf foursome (value $1,000); or "Wine & Dine in the Tri-Cities" at Aurelios, Preservation, Wine Exchange, Za Za's and La Mesa (value $1,000).

For 32 years, CASA Kane County has been recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers who serve as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) and the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for children in court due to abuse, neglect or private guardianship. The CASA volunteer acts as the eyes and ears of the judge to help make the best decision for a safe, caring and permanent home for each child. They are currently recruiting CASA/GAL volunteers to ensure they meet the needs of every child that comes into care.
