Wheaton real estate office supports church pantry, Outreach House

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago is celebrating its annual companywide Community Kindness.

During this event, real estate agents and staff reach out into the community and devote extra attention to a philanthropic organization.

This year, the Wheaton office has chosen to support two organizations, Immanuel Presbyterian Church Food Pantry in Warrenville and The Outreach House in Lombard.

The IPC Food Pantry serves 150 families each week. Agents and staff within the office are collecting canned goods, baby clothing, formula and diapers for families in need.

For more information on how to help, email Joe Stacy at jstacy@bhhschicago.com.

For The Outreach House in Lombard, an organization that provides essentials for children from infants to 3 years of age, the office is coordinating a Restock the Racks drive. Outreach House is in great need of new and gently used spring and summer infant and toddler clothes from newborn to size 5T.

Tide Cleaners, 293 Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn, is serving as a drop-off site. They will clean the clothing before it is donated.

These events are held in conjunction with the Kindness Foundation, formerly the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation. Its mission is to support local initiatives that improve the communities it serves and enhance the quality of life for fellow citizens.

During the Community Kindness event, agents and staff from the company's 24 offices will volunteer time and talents to organizations in their respective communities.

The Kindness Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. The Wheaton office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago is at 145 Danada Square East. For details, call (630) 682-8222 or visit BHHSChicago.com.
