Mount Prospect to Host Housing Rights Webinar Series

The Village of Mount Prospect Community Connections Center is hosting a webinar series on Housing Rights for both landlords and tenants.

On Monday, June 22nd at 5:00 p.m., we will host a free online webinar for renters. The presentation will provide basic information on tenants' rights under the Federal Fair Housing Act and the Illinois Human Rights Act. It will also include information on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Eviction Moratorium.

The webinar for landlords will be held on Thursday, June 25th at 1:00 p.m. The presentation will outline landlord rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing Act and local and state laws. We will also discuss how to approach Reasonable Accommodation and Modification requests as well as the recent Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
