Blackhawks ink Czech forward to 2-year deal

The Blackhawks said Friday that they've come to terms on a two-year deal with 6-foot-2, 194-pound forward Matej Chalupa that carries an average annual value of $925,000. The contract begins next season.
The 21-year-old Czech Republic native spent most of last season with HK Hradec Kralove of the Czech Republic League. He scored 7 goals and recorded 17 assists in 50 games.
He also appeared in two playoff games with HK Hradec Kralove during the 2019-20 season. Chalupa skated in one game with SK Kadan of Czech Republic-2 League on loan last season, where he notched a goal.
