Wheaton man faces child pornography charges

A Wheaton man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography following a joint investigation by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office Digital Forensic Investigation Unit and Wheaton police.

Peter Agosto, 24, of the 0-100 block of Sterling Circle, is charged with six counts of child pornography. He is currently free after posting 10% of his $25,000 bond Wednesday morning.

Agosto was arrested at 7 a.m. Tuesday after officers from both agencies executed a search warrant based on an undercover internet investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography files.

A forensic examination of his digital electronics revealed the presence of child pornography files.
