Wauconda Fest canceled due to pandemic

Next month's Wauconda Fest has been canceled because of the COVID-19 crisis, Wauconda Park District officials announced Wednesday.

The annual event had been scheduled for June 25-28. It was expected to draw more than 15,000 people.

Park district officials will consider holding a smaller community event in the fall.
