Schaumburg to give away more masks May 16

The village of Schaumburg will host its second free mask distribution event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 16, weather permitting, in which approximately 20,000 masks will be distributed to Schaumburg residents while supplies last.

Mask distribution will take place in the parking lot of Boomers Stadium, 1999 S. Springinsguth Road.

The masks will be distributed by village personnel on a first-come, first-served basis in a drive-through fashion. Volunteers wearing personal protective equipment will check identification/proof of Schaumburg residence. Attendees are asked to show their driver's license or a utility bill as proof of residency, and to expect long lines.

The event is intended for only residents who live in incorporated Schaumburg.
