Elmhurst College student from Glen Ellyn wins fellowship
Campus Compact, a higher-education coalition that promotes civic engagement and education, has selected third-year Elmhurst College honors student Grace Woods to be a Newman Civic Fellow.
Woods, of Glen Ellyn, is among 290 students who were selected nationally for their leadership on campus and commitment to finding solutions to local, national and international challenges. The yearlong program provides students with learning and networking opportunities, including the chance to participate in a national conference.
Woods has been involved in community service since high school, and is particularly interested in women's rights and mental health.
