West Chicago cancels Blooming Fest

West Chicago has canceled Blooming Fest, the annual garden festival scheduled for Saturday, May 16, in downtown due to health concerns related to COVID-19.

Planning for future events such as the West Chicago Food Fest on Oct. 10 and Frosty Fest and Frosty Fest 5K on Dec. 5 will continue.

"We will bring Blooming Fest back in 2021, and it will be an even bigger celebration of our community's resilience," Mayor Ruben Pineda said in a news release.
