IDNR programs of 25 or more canceled

All programs of 25 or more people scheduled for the Volo Bog State Natural Area in Ingleside and Moraine Hills State Park and McHenry Dam in McHenry have been canceled at least through April.

Programs with fewer participants will proceed with the precaution of social distancing, but attendance will be capped at 22.

Participants are asked to take common precautions, such as hand washing for at least 20 seconds. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources notes that hiking in nature is a fun way to practice safe social distancing.
