Apply by April 24 for Dennis Taylor Scholarship

The Dennis Taylor Scholarship Foundation for the Performing Arts will be awarding college scholarships for the 2020-21 school year.

The deadline for applications is April 24.

Auditions and interviews will be conducted Saturday, May 2, at Vero Voce Studio Theatre in St. Charles.

Awards will be conferred upon students of voice, instrument, theater, and dance.

These scholarships are available to post-secondary, undergraduate and graduate students residing in the western suburbs of Chicago who declare a major in the performing arts and demonstrate a passion for performance.

Ten scholarships were awarded for the 2019-20 school year.

Scholarship candidates can complete or download an application at dennistaylorsf.org. They can also request an application form from dennistaylorsf@gmail.com or by calling (630) 584-0139.

Dennis Taylor served as a dancer, choreographer, costumer, makeup artist, set dresser and wig designer at dozens of suburban theaters for more than five decades.
