Ride in Kane to see price increase starting April 1

As a result of increased fuel tax, cab service agreements and minimum wage, Ride in Kane will be raising a one-way fare from $4 to $5 (for rides less than 10 miles). This $1 increase will take effect Wednesday, April 1.

Since 2009, Ride in Kane is a public transportation service providing curb to curb bus or taxi service to seniors 65 and older, disabled individuals, and those with low income who qualify for the service in Kane County. Ride in Kane operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Ride in Kane is administered by the Association for Individual Development in partnership with Pace Suburban Bus, Kane County and local municipalities, townships and social service agencies operating as local sponsors.
