Foglia YMCA to hold inspirational breakfast

The woman behind an international social movement will be the featured speaker at the Foglia YMCA inspirational breakfast at 7:30 a.m., Saturday, March 14.

Amanda Messer is a TEDx speaker, global presenter and co-founder of Because I Said I Would, an international nonprofit social movement dedicated to the betterment of humanity through promises made and kept. Approximately 11.3 million promise cards have been distributed throughout 153 countries to date.

Messer will speak about the importance of keeping a promise during the inspirational breakfast, which sold out last year with more than 400 people in attendance. The event is being held in connection with the celebration of Foglia Y's 20th anniversary.

The breakfast is taking place at the Foglia YMCA, 1025 N. Old McHenry Road, in Lake Zurich. Registration for table hosts is now open. Tables seating 8 are $150. Registration can be located at fogliaymca.org or you can call 847.438.5300

The session is perfect for students, athletic teams, clubs, organizations and parents. It is also targeted toward corporate leadership teams and faith organizations.
