Fox Lake to host 'Pelican Palooza' this spring

Fox Lake this year will host its first Pelican Palooza to celebrate local businesses, local art and the great white pelican, which migrates to the area from mid-March through early April.

The two-week event will run from March 27 to April 10 at various Fox Lake businesses, which will be featured on a Pelican Passport. Participants can obtain a passport to receive specials at those businesses, then be eligible for a prize if they stop at each within two weeks.

Passports can be picked up at village hall, 66 Thillen Drive, or at any of the participating businesses.
