Two West Chicago businesses certified as 'Great Place to Work' companies

Two West Chicago businesses, Wise Plastics Technologies, 1601 W. Hawthorne Lane, and Ball Horticultural Co., 622 Town Road, have been honored with the Great Place to Work certification.

Certification is a significant achievement. Using validated employee feedback gathered with Great Place to Work's rigorous, data-driven For All methodology, certification confirms seven out of 10 employees have a consistently positive experience at Wise Plastics Technologies and Ball Horticultural Company. Great Place to Work is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue and increased innovation.

"Ball achieved 89% participation in the internal survey amongst all our employees, (the average participation by companies is 65%, according to Great Place To Work), and 90% of our employees who took the survey say Ball is a great place to work," according to a statement released by Katie Rotella of the Ball Marketing and Communications team.

Wise Plastics Technologies celebrated its Certification status and is equally proud of what this certification means. "We pride ourselves on teamwork, collaboration and creating a culture where people enjoy coming to work," read a statement released by the company.
