Mount Prospect 2020-2021 Vehicle Stickers Now Available

Village of Mount Prospect 2020-2021 vehicle stickers are currently for sale and must be displayed by May 1, 2020. All vehicles registered to residents or businesses in the Village of Mount Prospect are required to display a current vehicle sticker.

Vehicle stickers may be purchased online at www.mountprospect.org/vehiclestickers, by mail or drop box, or in person at Village Hall. Vehicle sticker prices are: $45 for Passenger Vehicles, $30 for Motorcycles & Motorbikes, $68 for Class B Trucks; Full-size Trucks are charged by class/body weight.

Reduced rates are available for residents 65 years of age and older. There is a limit of one reduced rate ($15) vehicle sticker per family/household. The vehicle must be owned and operated by the senior for a non-commercial purpose. Seniors who turn 65 prior to May 1, 2020 are eligible to purchase a vehicle sticker at the reduced rate. First-time seniors must come to Village Hall to obtain the sticker, as a current driver's license is required at the time of purchase.

Renewal applications are mailed to residents and businesses in early February. There is a vehicle ID referenced on the pre-printed application to streamline the renewal process. Vehicle stickers may also be purchased online without a pre-printed application.

Vehicle stickers may be purchased at Village Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The Finance Department will be offering extended hours during the month of April: Saturdays, April 18 and April 25, 9:00 a.m. to noon. Applications with payment may be dropped off in either of the 24-hour payment boxes, which are located outside the front door of Village Hall and in the parking garage, next to the library book return.

Vehicle stickers are mailed to the home or business address for applications and payments received online, via mail or 24-hour drop box.

In addition, full-price passenger stickers only may be purchased at the Elmhurst Road Currency Exchange located at 1698 S Elmhurst Road, #106. There is an additional $2.00 service fee per sticker at the Currency Exchange.

Those who did not receive a renewal application in the mail are still responsible for purchasing a 2020-2021 sticker. A late penalty will be added to the cost of a vehicle sticker purchased after April 30. Citations may be issued to vehicle owners if current stickers are not displayed by May 1.
