Mount Prospect board approves $1.3 million purchase of Busse Triangle sites

Mount Prospect trustees this week approved the $1.3 million purchase of four parcels and a private alley in the Busse Triangle area in the village's downtown.

The purchase of the properties at 108-110 S. Main Street and 15, 19 and 22 W. Busse Avenue was passed as part of the consent agenda at Tuesday's village board meeting. Funding will come from the village's Prospect and Main TIF Fund.

The properties are currently vacant lots, but are targeted for future development. The Busse Triangle is a key portion of the downtown bordered by Northwest Highway, Busse Avenue and Main Street.
