Two-vehicle crash in Mt. Prospect injures 3

A two-vehicle crash in Mount Prospect put three people in the hospital Sunday night, officials said.

The crash, which was first reported at 7:15 p.m. at Golf and Elmhurst roads in Mount Prospect, left both vehicles with significant damage. Mount Prospect firefighters had to extinguish a fire in one car and extricate a person from the other.

The accident's three victims were all taken to local hospitals, with two going to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and the other to Northwest Community Hospital.

Des Plaines police are still investigating, and the severity of the patients' injuries is not yet known.
