We're letting vets down
Regarding the front page story on Saturday, Dec. 7, "The whole place was on fire": What an outrage. Three men left and we cannot get them to Pearl Harbor? I wrote about this a few years back. It is sad we can't take care of the few vets left. We waste billions of dollars every year on people who did nothing for this country. Do you not agree that some of our military resources could be used to bring these guys back on these historical dates?
Ken Potts said he has trouble with his legs, I think our experts in the military could figure out a way to transport him there. I'm a proud son of a WWII Coast Guard veteran.
I would be honored to drive Mr. Potts to his hometown of Honey Bend any time he wishes to go.
