FIA Chicago to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children

The Federation of Indian Associations Chicago (FIA Chicago), which recently held its annual board meeting in Hoffman Estates to elect new officers, is recruiting its members to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel and Convention Center.

Other events planned by the federation for the year ahead include the celebration of India's 71st Republic Day on Jan. 25 with a health fair and scholarship drive, an Indian Heritage Night with the Windy City Bulls at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates on Feb. 23, and the Festival of Colors (Holi) in March.

FIA Chicago was founded to bring Indian cultural awareness to the Chicago area and has experienced significant growth in recent years.
