New cab ride program for seniors in Vernon Hills

Vernon Hills has launched a new cab ride program for seniors and those with disabilities.

Seniors 62 and older and residents 18 and older with a disability can apply for a card that will automatically be loaded with 16 cab rides worth up to $4 per ride paid for by the village. If a ride costs more than $4, residents pay only the difference.

Riders will contact American Taxi or 303 Taxi directly to schedule their ride. Applications can be downloaded at www.vernonhills.org/ or at village hall, 290 Evergreen Drive. Proof of age and residency required.
