Speakers Discuss Professional Journeys at Northbrook Chamber Women in Business Lunch

The Northbrook Chamber's Women in Business Lunch Series builds connections between women from a wide variety of professions in a relaxed networking setting. These luncheons encourage women to learn from each other and be inspired by the stories of local female leaders from business, non-profit, and government organizations. The next event will be held Tuesday, November 19, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Francesca's North in downtown Northbrook.

The November 19 luncheon features presentations by J.J. Hart and PJ Weiland, reflecting on their personal journeys as successful businesswomen. J.J. Hart is a director in Allstate's Corporate Strategy Group, applying analytics and business insights to develop enterprise- and business-level strategies. Since joining Allstate in 2008, J.J. has held several leadership roles across the organization. A graduate of MSU's James Madison College, J.J. studied and taught in Japan for three years and has traveled around the world. She serves on the Chamber's Board of Directors and volunteers for a variety of charitable organizations and projects.

PJ Weiland started her first business at the age of 10, and then worked in the family business, before starting her second business as an ActionCOACH. Through coaching, PJ provides an alternative to conventional consulting by providing both practical assistance and training through an affordable and effective mentoring approach. When PJ is not coaching she enjoys running, volunteering at a local pantry, playing soccer, giving time at the high school, driving the horses at Wagner Farm, coaching paddle tennis, or engaging in service to others.

The Women in Business Series is sponsored by Northbrook Bank & Trust Co. and is open to all professional women. Admission for Chamber members is $23 before November 15; admission for non-members, or members after November 15, is $30. To register, call the Northbrook Chamber office at (847) 498-5555.
