Save-A-Joe Pub Crawl to help area veterans

The Save-A-Joe Pub Crawl benefiting veterans in need will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.

Check-in will begin at noon at The Office. The event will take place at six participating bars on Route 64 in downtown St. Charles. Meet at Alley 64 for raffles and prizes from 5-6 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include a Pub Crawl long sleeve T-shirt; food at the first and last stop; three drink tickets, which can be used at any of the six bars; entry into the Save-A-Joe Poker Game; and entry into the Most Patriotic Costume Contest.

Participating pubs include The Office, The Crazy Fox, Filing Station, R-House, Main Street Pub and Alley 64.

Any tickets after Oct. 25 are not guaranteed a T-shirt. All proceeds will be donated to veterans in need by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association of Northern Illinois.

The goal for this Save-A-Joe Veterans Charities fundraiser is $20,000, which will be donated to veterans in need. Save-A-Joe works closely with Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association to help identify and help these veterans that too often do not come forward for help.

The local community has many veteran service organizations that help with education, housing, therapy and finances. The mission of Save-A-Joe, Inc. is to partner with local small businesses, corporate sponsors and community members to raise money to assist these veteran service organizations.
