Medieval Times to collect post-Halloween pumpkins

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament in Schaumburg will be collecting post-Halloween Jack O' Lanterns for use in its knights' combat training.

For every past-peak pumpkin turned in at the Schaumburg Castle on Nov 1., in anticipation of National Pumpkin Destruction Day on Nov. 4, Medieval Times will reward the bearer with a 40%-off voucher for an adult ticket.

Additionally, for the first 100 pumpkins received, Medieval Times will donate a complimentary ticket to Play It Forward Kids, a local grassroots organization built to show Chicago youth how easy it is to have fun and be kind through volunteering opportunities benefiting foster children, homeless persons, sheltered families, pets and more.

Pumpkins can be turned in for discounted ticket vouchers at the Medieval Times management office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.
