Huntley Rotarians launch awards program for the community

The Rotary Club of Huntley asks residents and employees who work in Huntley to consider nominating someone local for a Community All Star Award.

There are many deserving people in the community who help others, make an outstanding contribution to their organization, or put in extra effort to make a difference - these are people worthy of nomination for the "Rotary Community All Star" award program.

Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Nominees can range from a helpful neighbor, a group of people working on a specific effort, a business person, teacher, young student or a volunteer - anyone who lives or works in the Huntley community and has positively impacted the lives of others through their work, volunteerism or kind deed.

There are 10 awards that will be given out annually that will recognize the "Unsung Heroes" of Huntley.

Nominations can be filled out online by going to the home page of the Rotary Club of Huntley at HuntleyRotary.com.

A description of award categories is included online with the nomination form. You can submit directly. Or print and mail to: Rotary Club of Huntley, P.O. Box 323, Huntley, IL 60142.

The awards will be presented on April 17, 2020, at the Rotary Club of Huntley's 20th anniversary dinner celebration at Jameson's restaurant.

The event is open to anyone who wishes to make a reservation.

For more information on attending the event, sponsorships or receiving a nomination form, email HuntleyRotary@yahoo.com.
