Halloween fun comes early in Wauconda

Wauconda's eighth annual Trick or Treat on Main Street bash is set to run from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Free to attend, the event is organized by the Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce. Costumes are encouraged. A petting zoo, a pumpkin carving competition, a haunted house, hayrides and other activities are planned. Food and crafts will be for sale. Main Street will be closed to traffic between Bangs Street and Route 176 for the event.
