Girls volleyball: Libertyville tops Mundelein

Peyton O'Brien had 17 assists and 5 kills, and Libertyville's girls volleyball team remained undefeated in the North Suburban Conference with a 25-13, 25-20 win over visiting Mundelein on Monday night.

The Wildcats (18-6, 4-0) also received 5 kills from Kellie Hopper, Keira Kasten and Ella Schaffnit. Kaylie Stuteville had 3 kills and 6 blocks, Cassidy Jones tallied 3 kills as well, Olivia Sauers collected 3 aces and 7 digs, and Ivey Fowler posted 2 blocks. Hopper served 4 aces, as well.

Mundelein (4-16) was led by Brianna Martin with 2 kills and 3 blocks and Willow Ottoman with 3 kills.

Warren d. Lake Zurich: Elizabeth Weinberg had 12 kills, Ellie Columbus tallied 23 digs and 2 aces, and the visiting Blue Devils prevailed 28-26, 24-26, 25-21 in North Suburban Conference action.

Warren's other contributors included Alayna Malec (2 aces, 6 kills, 3 blocks, 8 digs), GabriElle Brewer (4 aces, 17 assists, 5 digs), Kayleigh Glickley (3 aces, 20 assists), Kendall Crawford (6 kills), Kylie Jasnoch (8 digs), Sarah Barbosa (7 digs), Faith Pollard (4 kills) and Sam Aaron (5 kills).

Lake Zurich (6-19, 1-4) received 8 kills from Jarynn Hartman and 7 kills from Chelsea Williams. Leah Salit dished out 24 assists and served 3 aces. Rory O'Sullivan contributed 5 kills, Sophia Arias delivered 2 aces, and Heidi Mason collected 6 digs.

Crystal Lake Central d. Stevenson: The visiting Patriots dropped the nonconference match 25-22, 25-13, despite Amanda Holsen's 6 kills and 9 digs.

Stevenson (13-7) also got contributions from Lily Cozzi (4 kills, 13 digs), Grace Tully (15 assists), Emma Potocki (4 kills) and Makayla Uremovich (3 kills).
